Shem and I waited around on the beach all morning for the wind to pick up a little. Paul from Shrewsbury was out with his Caution as was another guy with a smaller LEI and someone else with a Guerilla. No one was doing that well, so we decided to go hoome and check again later.

I went back in the afternoon and it still was hovering around 11 knots. A few people had tried to windsurf as well, but with no success. I decided to get my kite out anyway and have a go. Martin was there now as well and set up his Guerilla. Just as I was ready to go, a big squall came through with a good 17-20 knots of wind. The others who were still out with their kites quickly came in landed and took cover, just as I launched and managed to get myself to the water. Once on the water it was actually quite nice being so well powered up and I had a few really good runs. The wind soon dropped off again though and I ended up just planing and loosing ground downwind.

It was good to get out on the water in slightly stronger winds though, and I'm definately going to need a bigger kite!!
